We are committed to ensuring that all our students have every opportunity which is available to them when they leave Cromwell. 2023 was a good year for our Year 13 students, 64% of the Year 13 cohort in total applied and 29% of these were to Russell group universities including University of Nottingham, University of Sheffield and the University of Durham. Cromwell Sixth form students are reading urban planning to, aerospace engineering and sports journalism, digital marketing, to psychology and Law, to mention only a few. One of our students has decided to gain employment and complete a law degree via the Open university.
Those not going to university are pursuing varied and exciting careers including the army, joining the police apprenticeship scheme, higher level apprenticeships with Perkins engines, BGL insurance, MBDA missile systems and Leeding’s property group.

Moving on ... Life After Cromwell
This is an exciting time and there are many options open to you. Whilst at Cromwell, you will receive quality impartial Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to help you to make the right choices for post 18. Your tutor will support you or you can make a bookable appointment with our Level 6 qualified Guidance Advisor. In addition you will have the opportunity to attend various events such as the UCAS Convention and two collapsed days allows you to explore degree apprenticeships, finance and budgeting and to attend personal statement and CV workshops.
As a College we have a subscription to Unifrog. This website provides up to date details of university courses as well as apprenticeships. You will be given a password to access the site but your tutor and the sixth form team will also be able to help you.
