As a school Cromwell takes the well-being of all its pupils very seriously. Most pupils are able to successfully move through from Year 7 to 11 developing the resilience and skills to thrive along the way.
However, there are those pupils who may require additional support and where that is the case, Cromwell is very well equipped to deal with whatever issues may arise. The college prides itself on having skilled and trained staff in many areas of special need. We are confident that we can support all of our pupils, in collaboration with their families, irrespective of their situation.
Cromwell has excellent links with a plethora of expert external agencies with whom we are able to work closely for the overall benefit of our pupils. The college has a solid Inclusion Team who work tirelessly and effectively to support every young person whatever their needs.
At form time tutors are trained to support and help develop a positive mind-set, building on their experiences, encouraging learning through challenge and positive self-reflection. Pupils are actively encouraged to share their successes and do not fear failure.
Pupils well-being is reviewed regularly and intervention is carried out where identified.
